Parents – you can go to SoccerLoco on Monday or Tuesday, April 22 & 23, to try on the uniforms before ordering.  SoccerLoco is located at 24451 Alicia Parkway, Mission Viejo (map).  After May 1, You can buy uniforms at the store or order them online at the SoccerLoco team store at www.soccerloco.com, select Laguna United team store.

Laguna United is pleased to welcome Carrie Taylor as the new Director of Coaching.  Coach Carrie comes to Laguna United with over 25 years coaching, teaching and playing experience.  She has coached college, club, high school and ODP soccer.  Carrie is also very active in coaching education, serving as a regional instructor for US Soccer and serving as one of Calsouth’s instructors for E and D license courses.  You can read her complete background here.

Carrie observes: “I am excited to be at Laguna United as it is a club that is in line with my coaching philosophy. The board and the staff are focused on overall player development and are committed to improving each facet of the organization. It is my hope that I can lend my experience, passion for the game and determination to LUFC to help make it grow within the community. This is a place where I can make an impact.”

Laguna United is looking for players who are ready for a superior soccer experience that is focused on both overall development and competition. LUFC is a non-profit organization and competes in the Southern California Developmental Soccer League (SDCSL ).

Please bring a soccer ball to all training sessions. 

Congratulations to coaches Andy Thomas and Gordy McBean on coaching our BU10 Blue to the last 8 of State Cup. Along the way they beat strong teams including Santa Barbara, West Coast, Cardiff, Sherman Oaks and San Diego Football Academy. The boys were unfortunate to lose under very challenging conditions in Lancaster, but they did us all proud!

Laguna United FC GU13, coached by Scott Miller, took home top honors at the Tustin Winter Cup. The girls won the Top Flight through an exceptional offensive performance leading all teams with 11 goals scored. The midfielders and defenders battled an array of talented squads and dug deep, never giving up. The team goalie fought to secure every inch of our goal providing the team with some phenomenal saves. The girls had to battle through the rain, poor field conditions and multiple injuries but finished the tournament off in style. The team is now hitting their stride as they begin their preparations for National Cup.

Congratulations to Davor Fabulich and his BU17 Blue team for winning Flight One of the prestigious Nomads Tournament held in San Diego. The tournament attracts the best teams from across the country and includes teams from other nations also. The Flight contained 32 top teams in 8 brackets and the boys played the first five games without giving up a goal and winning every game. They met Beach (one of the best SCDSL Flight One teams) in the final where they battled back from 2-0 down to eventually win 4-3. To make the achievement that much more special the boys pulled the victory off with only one sub on the bench due to injuries. Way to make the club proud lads!!!!!

Laguna United BU10 White coached by Jerry Tamashiro are looking forward to the new season after some strong performances over the summer. The team won both of its Showcase Games last weekend winning 5-0 and 5-1. During the summer the team took silver at the Canyon PSA Invitational losing to OC Premier in a heartbreaking penalty shootout. They also took silver in the OC Premier tournament losing in a 1-0 nailbiter to Canyon FC in the final. Way to go Jerry & team!!

Laguna United BU10 won the Silver Division Championship at the Notts Forest Cup in San Diego. The boys defeated some of San Diego’s top teams along the way including Albion, Surf & Nomads. Congratulations to the boys and coaches Gordy, Andy & Ken on an outstanding tournament.

Laguna United BU17, coached by Phil Kulengosky faced excessive heat, humidity and competition on the road to being crowned champions of the FC Irvine Showcase. Conditions were tough, playing on one of the hottest weekends of the summer. The boys defeated a solid FC Manchester United team in the final after extra time by a score of 4-2. Congrats to Phil and the boys on a great win!!
